Enoc wins prestigious ITGAF award

Enoc recently won the prestigious ITGAF 2008 Award from the IT Governance Assurance Forum, an establishment created by Dubai Government to aid and promote the development of IT Governance practices in accordance with leading international frameworks.

The 2008 award for Dubai Governments commercial entities was won jointly by Enoc and Dubal. Yaser Amiri, Director General of Financial Audit Department, presented the award to Sina Khoory, Enoc Group IT Manager.

Saeed Abdullah Khoory, Enoc Group Chief Executive, said that Enoc IT won the award for its matured IT processes that have proven to be fundamental in achieving the company's corporate goals and maximising business results.

"Like other leading organisations, the Enoc Group's success in achieving its business goals depends directly on the extent and capability of technology enablement,"


Saeed Khoory added.

Sina Khoory said: "The governance over technology plays a critical role in ensuring that all IT processes are supporting business goals, maximising business investment in technology, and appropriately managing Information Technology-related opportunities and risks."

ITGAF is a non-profit organisation instituted by the Financial Audit Department, Government of Dubai. In 2006, the forum instituted a process maturity award to encourage establishments in building and practicing matured IT processes as a fundamental step towards effective IT Governance.
