The one week cash back promotion starting on Dec 19th offers customers that buy any new HP notebook or desktop PC over the value of Dhs3,000 from one of the participating retailers, the chance to hand in their old PC, any brand or year, and receive a Dhs750 cash refund.

"HP's new winter range of elegantly designed notebooks is inspired by the latest fashion trends of rich greys and monochromatic caramel hues. Each features newly designed surfaces which, combined with outstanding entertainment performance, makes them a must-have item for anyone demanding sophistication and performance technology,"
said Anil Kumar, General Manager, PSG, HP Middle East.

"HP leads the world in state-of-the-art PC technology, making it easy to game, view, work and share, when and where you want," he added.

The participating retailers are: Carrefour, Jacky's, Jumbo Electronics, Sharaf DG, Plugins, E-max Electronics, Lulu Hypermarket, CompuMe, Intertel Electronics, Cellucom, Dubai Duty Free, Geant and Hyperpanda.

All returned PC's will be given to EnviroFone, the UAE National e-waste and Mobile Phone, Battery & Accessory Recycling Campaign, which is the environmental and charitable campaign for the IT and Telecoms Industry in the UAE and Middle East Region managed by EnviroServe.

They aim to prevent electronic equipment including notebooks, desktops, monitors, mobile phones and batteries being disposed of in land fill in the desert as they contain some very harmful and toxic substances. All data is destroyed in the process and all items are sent for recycle and not sold or traded.
