Queen's School Of Business secures top spot on BusinessWeek ranking
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, December 21 - 2008 at 12:47
- PRESS RELEASE
Queen's School Of Business - which operates satellite campuses in Dubai and Abu Dhabi - has been ranked as having the world's best MBA outside the United States.
Queen's offers a series of professional development courses in the UAE, covering sales management, strategy, marketing, operational leadership, human resources, governance, and finance.
Courses in Abu Dhabi are presented in partnership with CERT, the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training, and in Dubai with the Dubai International Finance Centre.
The BusinessWeek ranking is based on the results of questionnaires answered by corporate recruiters (45% weighting) and graduating MBA students (45%), as well as an analysis of "intellectual capital" that comes from faculty publications in 20 key academic and practitioner journals (10%).
David Saunders, dean of Queen's School of Business, commented that two key audiences - recruiters and graduates - had again confirmed the school's world-class status.
"To be ranked first for the third time in a row is a great honour," he said. "Our innovative MBA programme enables participants to personalise their academic experience at Queen's, and clearly it's an approach that works."
BusinessWeek's ranking of Queen's corroborates a 2008 survey by Environics Research Group that revealed that Canadian executives rank Queen's as offering the best overall student experience, the most innovative programmes, the highest academic quality, and the most sought-after graduates.
