The awards are presented to small businesses who keep the entrepreneurial spirit alive in a world dominated by mega corporations and financial turmoil. Competing against three finalists for the Innovation Award, Ethos Consultancy was celebrated as the most innovative and unique small business for 2008.
Ethos Consultancy specialises in providing bespoke service measurement, such as, mystery shopping and customer satisfaction solutions, and training services to private and government departments around the region and has developed radically innovative methods for measuring customer experience. Leaders in their field, Ethos utilises the latest technologies and developments in customer service to better help the UAE Government and private companies to understand why Customer Experience Management and Customer Loyalty are so important for their organisations.
Each award was sponsored by a reputable company with a substantial influence in the UAE's business community. In regards to the previous years the judging process was rigorous. Applicants were short-listed and then invited to present to the judges who then selected the eventual winners. CEO's, General Managers or equivalents constituted the independent judging panel that was made up of companies that were sponsoring the programme.

Richard Musty, Head of Consumer Banking for Lloyds TSB Middle East, stated that, small and medium sized enterprises are the cornerstone of any economy. There was a worthy winner in each category and all of the judges were impressed by the quality of the shortlisted businesses.

Ethos Consultancy has also celebrated the release of its 4th annual Service Quality Bank Benchmarking Study. The independent study has established itself as the most comprehensive study of the UAE Retail Banking Sector. The government of Dubai and Abu Dhabi have recently employed Ethos Consultancy to further develop and sustain an improved customer service within many of their national sectors.
