The Abdali New Downtown project succeeded in attracting local and regional investments in the real estate and construction sectors and construction activities in the project is currently moving towards its peak in 2009 as a result of meticulous planning.

Jamal Itani, CEO of Abdali Investment and Development Psc, said:
"Demand for construction related machinery, equipment, vehicles and labor is expected to continue rising in 2009. Today we are witnessing the rise of Amman's New Downtown and we have a schedule to meet; we expect to have in 2009 over 10,000 workers operating on site."

The first phase of the Abdali New Downtown which offers a built up area of around 1 million sqm is completely sold, and investors in their turn have already sold a significant amount of units, be it residential or commercial to end users. Hence Abdali's management is confident that with the construction pace that the project is experiencing now, the first phase of the project will be up and running by 2010. With regards to the global crisis, Abdali Psc have not felt a direct negative impact on the interest shown from developers and investors and that is also based on the well set rules and regulations by the Government enhancing its unique position as an investment safe haven.

The Abdali new downtown accounts as the largest project in Amman, the capital of Jordan, in terms of its magnitude and impact on the various sectors and activities. Through its collaboration with renowned multinational developers, it has created a core hub and city-center which offers the highest level of technology and a foundation for future business and investment opportunities. Amid the wave of developments rising in Jordan, the new downtown has witnessed admiration and encouragement from key influencers at both the public and private levels both locally and regionally.
