This event was held by the National Orthodox School, Shmeisani on Wednesday, 3 December 2008 at the Fou'ad Yaghnam Theater.

Commenting on this charitable undertaking, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sayegh Group, Mr. Michael Sayegh, said:
"Through this 'Winter Aid' event, we send a message of warmth and affection from the employees of National Paints, and we anticipate more community spirit in organizing additional campaigns of this nature in the upcoming months. We believe in our role towards the community to which we belong and work for, and we reaffirm today our commitment to extending direct support to that local community."

"We will persevere in reinforcing the principles of participation through encouraging charity works amongst members of the Jordanian community and effectively. Communicating with and eventually helping those in need. Our aim is to contribute in effectuating the positive change we all aspire to and especially in this humane sphere," he added

It is important to note that this is not first initiative of its type to be introduced by Sayegh Group as, since its launch in 1969, it has been a key player in Jordan's development scene. The organization, for example, launched the Re-Painting Eastern Amman Campaign, where it worked along side the Greater Amman Municipality to re-paint and renovate homes in Amman's older and poorer districts.
