UAE Culture Minister renews patronage for Art Antiques Design Dubai
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, December 23 - 2008 at 13:23
- PRESS RELEASE
The United Arab Emirates is becoming one of the world's leading art destinations, largely due to the enormous government support shown by the country's Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community, as well as influential private sector groups.
Brian Haughton of Haughton International Fairs, organizers of the event, expressed his great pleasure in having the support of the Minister, "His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammad Al-Owais will again act as a patron to Art Antiques Design Dubai, reiterating his enthusiasm and encouragement for this initiative."
The Dubai Ladies Club will also lend its name to the Haughtons' initiative, which will host a special viewing exclusively for women, in an effort to educate Arab women about the collection of fine art and antiques.
The Dubai Ladies Club has amplified the need for greater levels of support of GCC women interested in the arts as artists, patrons, and admirers of fine art and antiques, such as those scheduled to be showcased at the Haughtons' fair.
Art Antiques Design Dubai will open on 18 February and run through 22 February.
The prestigious event will showcase top quality antiques and art from many countries, cultures and periods.
