Hydroturf offer a concrete partnership

Hydroturf, the region's leading supplier of golf course and landscaping products have been working with Scofield since 2005, Hydroturf are both the official distributor and contractor for CHROMIX®, a very advanced and complex concrete product which requires a high level of knowledge and skill to handle and lay it. To attain the level of expertise necessary by the craftsmen working with the product, Hydroturf send their staff to attend annual training courses in the Scofield factory in Atlanta, USA.

Although not a new product in the Middle East markets, the intrinsic environmental properties of Chromix have taken on added significance following Dubai adopting the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) points system thereby enhancing the benefits of Scofield's Chromix. Many of the colour options available in the Chromix Admixtures range contain increased solar reflectance values when compared to regular plain gray concrete, which means they can significantly help to reduce the Heat Island Effect, earning an SRI of at least 29* and contributing to LEED points under the Sustainable Sites category.

Other LEED categories Chromix can contribute to are the Recycled Content; Most standard colours and many custom colours of Chromix Admixtures contain over 99% recycled material and freshly placed, integrally coloured concrete has the added advantage of contributing to LEED points under the Regional Materials category.

Scofield's total engineered system includes compatible curing agents, sealers, coatings and treatments to protect and maintain the surface appearance, resist staining and reduce maintenance.
