International Diamond Laboratories opens in Italy

Dubai based International Diamond Laboratories has opened a full fledged diamond and diamond jewellery grading laboratory in Valenza, the capital of Italy's high-end jewellery market.
"In the current economic scenario, the importance of certification becomes even more significant. As consumers become more cautious with their spending, retailers who can verify the quality and value of the diamonds and diamond jewellery will have their confidence."
A Dubai government initiative and a subsidiary of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, the International Diamond Laboratories employs the latest technologies to scientifically define the 4 Cs- clarity, colour, cut and carat- of polished diamonds and diamond jewellery. The lab's certificates are internationally recognised and it uses automated colour grading process, taking human error out of the equation.
The official opening in Vinceza was attended by Roberto Coin, one of the leading Italian jewellers who uses the lab's services.
"There is a growing consumer demand for diamond grading certificates and International Diamond Laboratories provides the vital link. The Italian diamond trade will benefit from the lab's high quality, unbiased certification services, "said Roberto Coin.
The opening was also attended by Mr. Roberto Coin, Owner of Roberto Coin Company, Mr. Bruno Guarona, President of the Goldsmith Association of Valenza and Mr. Luca Carati, Owner of Luca Carati Company.
