Egypt holds rates, hints at cut

Egypt's central bank has announced on Friday it is keeping benchmark interest rates steady but has hinted a rate cut remains imminent, Reuters has reported. The bank, which ended a nine-month cycle of interest rate rises in November, kept its rates at 11.5% for deposits and 13.5% for lending.
