S.S. Lootah Group supports 'Anti-speed' campaign of Dubai Police to spread awareness on the dangers of excessive speed

The Dubai-based business conglomerate S.S. Lootah Group extended its support to the 'Anti-speed' Campaign by the Dubai Police as the main sponsor, keeping in line with its responsibility towards the society.

The 9 day campaign, launched on December 21st under the slogan "Speed Shatters Lives", focuses on spreading awareness on the dangers of excessive speed.

Hailing the noteworthy effort by the Dubai Traffic Police towards providing a secure environment to the residents of Dubai, Mr. Nasser Lootah, Director, S.S. Lootah Group commented:
"In the recent past, there has been high incidence of traffic accidents due to excessive speed that have claimed the lives of young citizens and residents. As a national company, we are committed to supporting all initiatives of our leadership towards ensuring the safety and security of the citizens. The efforts taken by the Dubai Police in this regard are highly commendable."


Mr. Nasser Lootah also called for all sectors of society to actively participate in this campaign to ensure one's own safety and the safety of others while on the road, which in the long term would contribute to the continued growth and stability of the nation.

S.S. Lootah Group's interest in safety and sustainability of the transportation sector is evident through several internal initiatives such as the 'Green Car' program and 'Fleet modernization' initiatives including safety training for drivers and operators. The 'Green Car Program' has seen a great progression since inception starting from conversion of part of the company fleet to Compressed Natural Gas, followed by the use of hybrid cars. Most recently, the company also included fully electric cars to its fleet, making Dubai the first city in the Gulf to license electric cars.
