Harvey Nichols launches its new counter by Kenzoki displaying the brands unique aesthetic for natural elements.
This duality is part of the essence of Kenzoki which is evident as the basic concept behind its new beauty counter design displayed in Dubai's premier luxury fashion store, Harvey Nichols.
The Kenzoki beauty counter appears strategically structured and built into random patterns, in the same way a bird accumulates twigs for its nest. This maintains the brand's image that Kenzo has carefully nurtured through the years, but adds an iconic duality in the combination of light and shadow that filters through the pattern. The choice to use different materials -steel coated with glossy white paint on the outside, and dark wood on the inside, emphasises the concept by creating a conscious contrast of colour and materials. Coordinating counters, stools, lamps and mirrors as well, turn the space into a 'nest' that gently surrounds the dualism that is Kenzo.
Kenzoki is an alternative skincare line whose vision is based on a simple, optimistic and daring notion that skincare should be not only effective but also a source of pleasure. The idea behind is that the products should deliver sensations in order to change reflex actions such as moisturising your face or applying a body scrub into heightened, pleasurable experiences.
Kenzoki appeals to the senses on every level: the packaging has an elegant and sleek design. The product names are very different from those generally used in the skincare industry; they are enticing without inflated claims. Added pleasure is given by the four fragrances associated with the four plants that focus both on skin care needs and on a specific mood: Bamboo Leaf: Energizing; Ginger Flower: Euphoric; White Lotus: Relaxing; and Rice Steam: Sensual.
