Khalid Al Shafar, Marketing Director, Group Marketing, Dubai Holding, said:
"As the official sponsor of the UAE national football team, Dubai Holding is keen to see UAE nationals get involved with their team during the GCC Cup through the 12th Man campaign."
"The campaign will also help the UAE team to feel that they have the support of their countrymen who will, symbolically, be the team's '12th Player'," he added.
Following its launch in Al Ain, the 12th Man campaign has now reached Dubai. Fans can pick up a range of give aways, including flags, player masks, car stickers and ironing kits with the campaign logo for their kandooras, from the Dubai Holding stand at Dubai Festival City's Festival Centre until Saturday (December 27th) during normal opening hours.
At the 19th GCC Cup in Oman, the UAE national team will be defending the title they won in 2007. The team will play three tough group matches in Muscat. On January 5 they will play Yemen; on January 8 Qatar and on January 11, Saudi Arabia. All three matches kick off at 6pm local time.
