The two-day workshop introduced participants to the goals of Kafa Traffic Awareness Campaign, shed light on Jordan's traffic statistics, and included both theoretical and practical training sessions to develop and enhance participants' communication skills, and build up the spirit of leadership and love for voluntary work. The workshop was concluded by handing out certificates to students.
Dr. Ahmad Abu Ghanemeh, Kafa Project Manager, said:
"This workshop aims at building participants' leadership, change management and communication skills, in order to empower them to invest their efforts effectively in leading traffic awareness activities in their environments."
"We strongly believe that the spirit of youth coupled with their positive energy and strong will are significant elements of success, which will play a major role in raising public awareness about traffic safety issues," he added.
'Kafa Ambassadors' program started with 22 Ambassadors during its first phase, and continued to grow its network to reach 50 Ambassadors; thus forming a national network of volunteers working together to influence traffic behavioral change.
Kafa is one of the Royal Health Awareness Society projects, launched by her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah in 2005, and aiming to spread traffic awareness between citizens and motivate individuals to drive responsibly.
