CFA Jordan holds its Annual Awards Ceremony 2008

CFA Jordan held its Annual Awards Ceremony 2008 on Saturday, December 20th, whereby it honored its members who recently obtained their CFA charter and who recently passed the CFA level 3 exam.

The event was held at the Four Seasons Hotel with the attendance of CFA Jordan members, CFA program candidates and investment professionals in Jordan.

In addition, several distinguished guests attended the ceremony; among them was Mr. Jaleel Tarif, the CEO of Amman Stock Exchange, and Mr. Sameer Jaradat, the CEO of the Securities Depository Center.

Mr. Sami Nabulsi, the former President of CFA Jordan addressed the delegates and said:
"Today we are celebrating the achievement of our colleagues in Jordan who have successfully completed the CFA Program. We are very proud of their accomplishment and wish them all the best in their careers."


Mr. Zaid Masri, the newly elected President of CFA Jordan, also congratulated the new CFA charterholders and those who have passed the CFA level 3 exam, and urged them to keep up the good work, which is highly needed in the current challenging times.

The event's guest speaker, Mr. Nitin Mehta, the Managing Director of the EMEA region at CFA Institute, expressed his pleasure with the addition of new charterholders to the global investment field, and applauded the new charterholders' achievement, which is a milestone to be proud of in their careers. He also advised them to utilize the knowledge and experience gained from the CFA program in advancing the investment field, a process that is highly needed in the midst of the financial crisis the world is experiencing.

Mr. Mehta also spoke about the important role that the CFA Institute undertakes in supporting financial institutions and regulators around the world by providing consultancy and guidance on improving the financial services sector.
