Accompanied by a very jolly Santa Claus, the delighted children from the center collected gifts, donated by generous members of the public, from Mall of the Emirates officials.

There was even more reason to celebrate when senior executives from Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates handed over a cheque for Dhs40,025. The record breaking total was raised from their third annual stollen baking event, which raises funds for the centre every year. Ski Dubai also participated in the activity and supported the cause.

Commenting on the highly successful stollen event, Holger Schroth, General Manager, Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, said:
"With each consecutive stollen baking event, we challenge ourselves to raise even more funds than the year before. And this year, due to the tireless efforts of our staff and the enthusiastic support of our partners and of course the public, we are delighted to present the DSCN with the biggest amount yet."

The gifts presented by Mall of the Emirates were collected over the two-week festive period, thanks to the kindness of shoppers who visited the premiere shopping destination during this time and donated beautifully wrapped gifts. The collections were made in elegantly wrapped boxes that were set up under the 13-metre-high Christmas tree, the mall's most prominent feature in its yuletide activities.

Vice President of Mall of the Emirates, Fuad Sharaf said, "The kindness and generosity that our visitors have shown is incredible. I am grateful to all our patrons who have contributed gifts for these children and made their Christmas special. We believe that the sentiment of giving is above all and we are happy to see that we are not alone in this cause."
