Ahmad Al Shamile, National Sales Manager of Suzuki Saudia, said:
'The Jeddah International Motor Show will serve as another platform for us to underline the remarkable performance, cost efficiency and design of Suzuki vehicles, which have seen a steady increase in demand in Saudi Arabia over the recent years. We expect the SX4 Sedan and the Grand Vitara models to create major interest at the motor show given the features and excellent market performance of these vehicles in the KSA and the Middle East region as a whole.'
'Moreover, we have planned several attractive incentives for visitors to our stand, which is an extension of the strong emphasis we lay on customer service. For instance, we have teamed up with Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions to give away a Suzuki Swift to one lucky visitor at the Suzuki booth,' he added.
Suzuki Saudia experienced a 30% increase in sales across all its vehicle categories in 2008. The automobile distributor has been successful in taking advantage of an estimated 5 to 9% increase in KSA automobile sales.
The major demand for the Suzuki SX4 has translated to a 13% increase in target sales for the compact car, leading to a 15% increase in total generated sales for Suzuki Saudia. The SX4, which has become one of the most purchased car in the KSA, is renowned for its superior blend of safety, comfort, and handling features and is regarded as a primary contributor to the Suzuki Auto division's best year-end close in 2007. With its host of safety and comfortable features, the car is highly recommended for families.
The Suzuki Grand Vitara on the other hand has created a niche for itself in global markets with its excellent on-road handling; uniquely sporty, tough-looking exterior design; and outstanding off-road performance. Earlier this year Suzuki had incorporated key modifications to the Grand Vitara to enhance the SUV's overall performance, looks and comfort.
One of the significant changes to the new Grand Vitara is the newly-designed petrol engines; the latest version of the SUV is powered by a choice of 2.4-litre four-cylinder and 3.2-litre V6 petrol engines to enhance performance. Further, driving is made quieter by a redesigned power train and new acoustic materials; off-road performance is improved by hill hold control and hill descent control (applicable to the five-door vehicles with the 3.2-litre petrol engine only); and braking performance is improved with the adoption of rear disc brakes. The new Grand Vitara also gets a jazzier and tougher look with new designs for the front grille and bumper accentuating the sportier exterior.
The Jeddah International Motor Show, one of the most awaited motoring exhibitions in the KSA, is being held at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events.
