Woolworths ME plans expansion

Woolworths in the Middle East is planning to expand its reach in the UAE, reported Gulf News. Saleh Sharaf, retail division director for the Sharaf Group which operates Woolworths in the UAE, points out that Woolworths in the Middle East is an up-market department store, and has no connection with the UK discount store of the same name. The group is also considering moving into new markets, taking various brands under its umbrella into South East Asia.
