Rota donates $1m in humanitarian aid to Gaza

Qatar-based NGO Reach Out To Asia (Rota) today pledged $1m in humanitarian aid to Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip, currently reeling under heavy hostility.

Over 300 Palestinians have been reported killed after the deadly assault.

The donation, to be made available in collaboration with Rota's local partners in Gaza Strip, is part of Rota's relief assistance and solidarity with the Palestinian cause. Rota has also expressed hope that the humanitarian aid would help alleviate the sufferings of the Palestinians.

The donation comprises of food and medical supplies, including life-saving drugs and other medical equipment, to cater for those injured due to the bombings.

Omnia Nour, Director of Rota, said:
"We are committed to lend a helping hand to thousands of Palestinians who have been rendered homeless, injured and impoverished due to the on going conflict. We aim to join efforts with our local partners in Palestine to provide immediate assistance to the victims of the assault."
