Generations For Peace a global initiative founded by HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein in 2007, aims at consolidating peace efforts through the deployment of sports as a vehicle in unifying divided communities. Over 70 delegates attended Generations For Peace: Camp 08, from countries including Jordan, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Palestine, Lebanon and Afghanistan, who participated in Camp 07; and newcomers Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Lesotho, Togo, Cote D'Ivoire and Liberia. The Jordanians participated as the host nation and have been nominated by numerous social development organizations; and the rest of the delegates by UNDP and UNICEF Offices, OlympAfrica, National Olympic Committees and the British Council.

The Peace Pioneer Certification Program has been delivered during Camp 08 by leading international and local peace education experts and sport coaches. As a result participants are now able to run dedicated peace programs and cascade their acquired skills in their communities. Following the implementation of their first program back home delegates have become certified peace pioneers.

"It is a profound honour to take part in developing future peace pioneers coming from such a diverse base of cultures infused into one. Positive lifestyle and activities is an angle highly emphasized by Coca-Cola, hence, supporting this international peace educational experience and endowing youth with the noble values of peace and unity through sports embodies our policy of blending worldwide nations into one serving the best benefit of our global society,"

stated Muhannad Turk, General Manager, Coca-Cola Bottling Company Jordan.
