26 exhibitions to be hosted in Doha International Exhibitions Center in 2009

Qatar Tourism & Exhibitions Authority unveiled the list of exhibitions to be hosted in Doha International Exhibitions Center in 2009.

26 exhibitions will be organized to showcase a variety of regional and international professionals and attract numerous buyers and general public.

2009 will display a wide range of topics attracting to Qatar a large array of exhibitors, from Economics - with the International Forum for Business Development, to be in held May, or the Finance and Investment exhibitions to be organized in November - to Oil and Gas, such as the Doha Fair of Natural Gas, to happen in March and Petrochemica to be in November, without omitting construction, real estate, technology.

Education and Health, two main pillars of Qatar social development, will be well represented, through different exhibitions organized by Qatar Foundation and Hamad Medical Corporation.

2009 will be even richer in numerous commercial fairs, displaying products from Qatar, Turkey, America, and other parts of the world. Among the commercial exhibitions, the 6th Doha Jewelry and Watches Exhibitions, to be organized by QTEA from February 17 to 22, will represent a main event for citizens and residents from the region, where public's eyes will marvel at luxury.

Mr Lahdan Ghanim Al Mohannadi, Head of Exhibitions Organization and Exhibitior's Service Section in Qatar Tourism & Exhibitions Authority, commented:
"Thanks to our 15,000 sqm Doha International Exhibitions Center, Qatar is now able to host 26 international exhibitions in 2009. We look forward to 2011 when we'll have the Doha Exhibitions Centre and Tower ready with a 45,000 sqm capacity to host even more world-class exhibitions and fairs."
