"We were very pleased to have Land Rover on board the Clean Up UAE and look forward to their future involvement in this campaign. It is great to see organizations from diverse backgrounds making the environment their responsibility and taking measures towards protecting it," expressed Habiba Al Marashi, EEG chairperson.
Land Rover was the first automotive brand to lend its support to this environmental campaign, which included cleaning up one of the designated sites in the desert, Al Khawaneej.
Robin Colgan, Managing Director, Land Rover Middle East, said:
"We are proud to have been able to make a positive contribution in the environment with Clean Up UAE following the launch of our industry leading CO2 programme in this region. Land Rover is committed to making a difference in the communities in which we operate and our participation in this activity is a reiteration of our commitment to a sustainable future."
Land Rover takes its responsibility towards the environment seriously. The company recently announced the launch of its CO2 offset programme in the Gulf and the Levant, an industry leading initiative which enables both the company and its customers to take steps to balance emissions of CO2 and address climate change.
