Over 1.7m Jordanians benefit from Knowledge Stations initiative

Bassam Shamaileh, the director of the Knowledge Stations initiative in Jordan has said more than 1.759 million citizens had benefited by the end of August from its ICT services, Jordan Times has reported. Currently, there are 192 Knowledge Stations across the country, where 193,838 people have taken courses on different topics covering how to use ICT skills to enhance their businesses, obtain healthcare information or participate in e-government, Shamaileh said. "We are studying the opening of three more Knowledge Stations in different parts of the country to reach out to a bigger audience," he added.
