AME Info reaches 1,500,413 unique visitors a month
The site now has an audited audience of 1,500,413 unique visitors a month, up from 883,984 for the same period last year. The number also represents a 27% increase in readership since AME Info's last audit, conducted in March 2008.
The figures show the increased reliance on online news sites in the Middle East to provide up-to-date business information in the region. Growth over the year has centred particularly around our video reports, press release service and Arabic site.
Highlights over the past year that contributed to AME Info's growth included the launch of microsites around big events, special reports and the introduction of new sections on the site, such as Property Report, Luxury Lifestyle and Face to Face interviews on our video section.
Rob Jones, Editorial Director at AME Info, said:
'We are really pleased to have hit this milestone in our audience figure. With the current global turmoil now being felt in some business quarters in the Middle East, we believe people will increasingly turn to fast, reliable services for their news and information.
We have put a strong emphasis on being a trusted, high quality brand over the past year, and that has paid off in terms of our outstanding readership growth of 70%.'
AME Info has built its reputation on being a reliable business resource with a rich archive, but we are particularly proud of the improved quality of our video stories this past year and the proof in that is the increase in audience.
The total number of page impressions per month now exceeds 7 million, 38% up on October 2007's 5.2 million, with an increasing number of GCC and wider Middle Eastern business readers relying on AME Info as one of their primary resources.
The ABCe audit, the eighth undertaken by AME Info, arms advertisers and marketing managers with impartial information to help them decide where they will get the best return on their advertising spend.
Chad Hussain, Sales Director at AME Info said: 'ABCe ensures transparency which assures our advertisers that the reach and readership numbers presented have been independently verified. Our advertisers place huge importance on being able to measure their marketing activities and the internet provides the most accurate method of doing this'.
The ABC audit is a common measurement tool used by major publishers of print and online titles around the world.
