Under the agreement, KTS is the exclusive partner of KWE for the movement of cargo between Kuwait and worldwide destinations with the renowned Japanese forwarder.

Established in 1970, KWE is the world's seventh largest freight forwarding company. The fast growing company aims to become the ''trans-pacific leader'' by becoming the number one service provider in the inter-Asia and Pacific Rim. KWE now has over 8,000 employees in 30 countries.

Mr Mikko Wieru, General Manager of KTS says that the exciting collaboration allows KTS to offer customers the benefit from the partner's global network and strong links to the Asia Pacific markets. "The expected volume growth from this deal will enable us to expand our market share which is inline with our strategic goal to consolidate our leadership position in Kuwait. We are also looking at opportunities to develop our Iraq business as well."

With both companies sharing the same values of quality and customer focus, Mr Wieru is confident of the partnership's success.

Likewise, KWE's Director for South-East Asia and Middle East region, Mr Yoshinori Watarai says:
"Having KTS as a partner - one which has 30 years of experience in Kuwait, enables us to leverage their local expertise and knowledge to further enhance our competitive strengths in the region for strategic business development. In particular, in areas of peacekeeping, disaster relief as well as oil and gas where we have strong competencies."

''With KTS's leadership role in the regional logistics industry, we are sure that the cooperation between the two companies will further strengthen and deepen in other areas for the mutual benefit of our customers and businesses,'' concludes Mr Watari.
