The Oman National Motocross-Enduro Championship attracted riders of various nationalities and age groups with the youngest entrant, Honda rider 13 year old Kris Hendry, winning the Junior Rider category. "The event is a splendid showcase for the sultanate's outstanding riding talent," added the Honda National Sales Manager. "Of course it's great to see the Honda bikes being put through their paces but it's about more than that - it's about promoting sport, inspiring people to excel and building community spirit. That's the real strength of this event. "
Turner went on to say:
"At Honda we place a premium not just on quality, achievement and excellence but also on the determination and spirit that it takes to reach the top and the competitors in the Championship certainly showed that. What's more, the Club's committee and members did an amazing job and we look forward many more in the future."
"We're delighted that Honda-OMASCO is sponsoring the Oman Motocross Club and we welcome the fact that a multi-national company of their stature recognizes the value of Motocross in Oman," said Ian Bowen, Secretary of the Oman Motocross Club.
"They've a genuine commitment to the community and their sponsorship of the Club very much reflects that. The enthusiasm of everyone at Honda-OMASCO for motocross and their desire for the Championship to be a success has been extremely motivating for the riders."
