"As organisers of the only truly regional printing industry exhibition in the Middle East, we are pleased to be associated with an event that is as high profile as the Dubai Print Award," said Sue Rothwell, Group Event Director, Fairs & Exhibitions, organisers of the Gulf Print and Gulf Pack Exhibitions.
"Sponsorship of the Dubai Print Award is a significant investment for us and we truly believe in the strength of the printing industry here in the Middle East. We are hopeful that our support of this award will result in continued industry best practice and innovation."
Gulf Print and its sister exhibition, Gulf Pack, will be held at the Airport Expo Dubai from April 6-9. The 2009 edition will for the first time feature the Thought Leadership Conference, a 3-day program of workshops and seminars designed to bring industry professionals together to explore best practice methodologies for the printing, publishing and packaging industries across the Middle East.
"The concept behind the Thought Leadership Conference is to connect global and local industry leaders and to encourage continued dialogue in regards to the printing and packaging industries. This is of particular relevance given current global events,"
she added.
The Dubai Print Award 2008 contains 20 categories designed to cover the entire spectrum of the printing industry in Dubai. A judging panel of esteemed industry professionals will judge entries based on criteria including printing quality, finishing quality, innovation and creativity.
Other Dubai Print Award sponsors who have confirmed their participation in the Gulf Print 2009 exhibition include Heidelberg, Xerox and Giffin Graphics.
