During the meetings hosted in key cities in the Middle East and North Africa region, officials of the Foundation's Knowledge and Education sector met with thousands of youth who evinced extraordinary interest in the Pioneers and Fellows programmes.

Led by Mustafa Al Ansari, Vice President for Operations, the delegation members clarified the objectives of the two programmes and elaborated on the terms and conditions.

Al Ansari said:
"We are delighted with the excellent feedback we received from the young men and women we met across the Arab world as they have illustrated tremendous zeal in their pursuit of knowledge. The Foundation is firmly committed to optimize this enthusiasm through programmes that facilitate opportunities for post-graduate studies in top-tier universities."

Launched last April, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Pioneers Programme extends financial support to talented Arab youth seeking to acquire a Master's degree at leading universities in the Arab world.

Through the Fellows Programme, the Foundation aims to assist Arab students to obtain postgraduate degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), Public Policy (MPP) and Finance from leading international universities.

Al Ansari said, "The Foundation has chosen to focus on these four subjects due to their vital role in effective administration, which is a key platform for the success of any project, regardless of the field. We may consider expanding the fields of study in the near future, based on development requirements in the Arab world."

Touching on basic key requirements of the Master's programmes, Al Ansari said: "An acceptance letter from one of our regional and international partner universities is an essential prerequisite while applying for the Pioneers or Fellows programmes. A list of partner universities is available online. In addition, applications need to be sent to the Foundation only through email and those delivered by hand or through courier services will not be accepted.

Al Ansari pointed out that the Foundation adopts a strict but transparent selection process without any bias as its main goal is to identify potential leaders who can contribute to the development of the Arab world.

During the regional roadshow, the Foundation's Knowledge and Education sector delegates visited Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Yemen, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman. Hundreds of UAE nationals and Arab expatriates attended the Foundation's meeting in Dubai prior to the GCC phase of the roadshow.
