Asthma high among UAE children

According to health experts, there is high prevalence of asthma among children in the UAE with one in five children in the UAE having the ailment, Khaleej Times has reported. Professor Ruby Pawankar, chairperson of the first Middle East Asia Allergy Asthma Immunology Congress set to take place in Dubai, said the rapid increase in the prevalence of this disorder is also affected by social and economic environments and there is a need to address public awareness among patients and practitioners.
