The seminar will cover the latest developments in the real estate sector in the UAE and at regional and international levels, said Dome, which is organizing the January 27-29 exhibition under the patronage of H.H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

'Dome decided to hold this seminar on a daily basis during the exhibition given the importance of discussing such a subject by experts and chief executives of major property developers in the UAE and the region. This will allow all participants to get acquainted with the latest developments in this vital sector amidst the current global financial crisis, which was triggered by the US Sub-prime problem and has largely affected the world economy,'

said Antoine George, Executive Director of Dome.

George said several property developers have confirmed their participation in IREIS 2009 as they realize the importance of this event and its timing. He added that the majority of the exhibition area has been booked.

'This show and the accompanying seminar are of utmost significance at this time for all those concerned with the real estate sector, mainly property developers, contractors, suppliers and others,' he added

George referred to the recent measures taken by the UAE to ensure sufficient liquidity to local banks and to mergers among real estate financing companies, which he said would make them more capable of dealing with financing requirements in this important sector in the coming stage.

'News about an expected growth in liquidity in the first quarter of 2009 will give a strong push to the financing activities in the real estate sector in Abu Dhabi and the whole UAE…the recent correction in the real e state sector has created significant investment opportunities, which will be underscored during IREIS 2009,' George said.

He said the daily seminar would be open to all those who wish to participate by registering online on www.realestateshow.ae.

Among the papers to be presented at the seminar is one by Dr. Ali Matar, Editor in Chief of A-Z Property Guide of Abu Dhabi entitled '10 Tips to Buying Property in Abu Dhabi'

Another one will be presented by Ziad Bushnaq,, CEO, Cornerstone Real Estate entitled 'What is Available at What Price in Abu Dhabi.'

Other papers will be presented by Gurjit Singh, Chief Property Development Officer at Sorouh on 'Is Now the Right Time to Buy?', Linda Loughnane, Managing Director LLJ Property on 'Investment for Yield' , Dr. Mohamed Guidoum, Managing Director RE/MAX on 'The Role of Real Estate Brokerage in Emerging Property Markets', and several other experts in the sector.

'IREIS 2009 will be an opportunity to see the latest projects in the real estate sector in the UAE and the entire region,' Dome said. 'Through this strong participation by many companies, the event is expected to be an ideal place for signing major property deals given the fact that this show is the first event specialized in finalizing deals between property developers, investors and end users.'
