The companies selected will offer a comprehensive range of facilities management services including cleaning, security, lifeguarding, landscaping, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, as well as other facility related technical services.

BK Gulf will provide services to 17 buildings and 225 villas in Bur Dubai; Operon Middle East will provide services to 5 buildings and 63 villas in Deira, and Imdaad will manage operations in 10 buildings and 490 villas in Satwa and Hudaiba.
This initiative represents the first phase in wasl's drive towards delivering appropriate and effective facilities management services across its current built estate. The addition of 3 mixed use buildings and 41 villas is anticipated by April 2009.

Facilities management is recognized as a critical component of asset management because it optimizes the full life-cycle of each building for the owner. As wasl moves towards its goal of being a 'customer-centric' organization, it has prioritized the appointment of capable service partners to ensure the highest standards of safety and effective service delivery for the beneficial occupants of its leased buildings.

wasl's current sphere of operations includes the management of 5,000 industrial land plots and 20,000 leased commercial and residential units around Dubai. The asset management group's operational capacity encompasses property management, leisure and entertainment, hospitality, project management, and industrial land development.
