On a corporate level, and as part of its show of solidarity, Umniah initiated promotional call charges to Gaza.

For the one-week period of this promotion, postpaid and prepaid Umniah subscribers received 50% discount on theirs calls to Palestine.

And on a customer base level, Umniah facilitated the collection of donations for its subscribers wishing to lend a helping hand, through launching another initiative by which people can donate JD1 to Gaza through sending an SMS to the short code number 98001.

Umniah's CEO, Mr. Joseph Hanania, said:
"Our people in Gaza are in our hearts and minds, and these initiatives are the least that Umniah can contribute to reduce their suffering. We, at Umniah, feel committed to following His Majesty's directions that Jordan and the people of Jordan should always be the first in helping and supporting the people of Gaza in their agony."
