Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (MBRPLD), an innovative leadership program designed to develop national leaders capable of promoting the sustainable development of the UAE, has announced that it has recently launched a new module titled "Aligning people with your leadership vision" for participants of the Government Leaders Program.

Government Leaders is a level of MBRPLD that aims to qualify the future leaderships of Dubai Government departments by establishing an assembly of talented individuals with distinguished potentials, knowledge, skills and experience at all departments of Dubai Government.

The new module revolves around five leadership-related aspects: Communicating an inspiring vision: How to talk to others about your leadership vision in a way that engages, inspires, and provides direction; Gaining buy-in and commitment: Psychological and social dynamics of why people make and keep emotional commitments; Aligning goals and incentives: Diagnosing and managing tradeoffs among competing objectives and rewards to sustain alignment; Reinforcing cooperation: Recognizing behaviours that are in line with the vision and disciplining undesirable behaviours; and Managing conflict in the open: Gaining productive benefits from constructive conflict so that problems are resolved in a transparent way that sustains motivation.

Adel Al Shared, CEO of MBRPLD, said:
"The launch of the 'Aligning people with your leadership vision' module will add a new dimension to the Government Leaders program as the module focuses on contemporary management and leadership techniques. Moreover, the new module perfectly complements MBRPLD's goal of creating a pool of efficient and inspirational government leaders in Dubai who will significantly contribute to the sustained progress and development of Dubai and the UAE as a whole."

Obaid Rashed Dafoos AlMuhairi, one of the participants of the Government Leaders program said, "MBRPLD's decision to include this latest module to the program will expose us to modern day leadership practices, which in turn will broaden our perspective. I am keen to make the most of the new module that is centred on the idea of aligning people with the leadership vision, rightly recognising the importance of human capital in today's society."

The launch of the new module was also attended by Marwan Bin Ghulaita, CEO of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), who had graduated from Young Leaders and Government Leaders level. He shared his experience and explained to the participants how this program has benefited him in his role as head of RERA. Bin Ghulaita focused on the importance of building talented teams, listening to others, exploring oneself, networking, benefiting from the personal development plan and applying what is learnt from MBRPLD in a leader's professional role.

MBRPLD has been established in line with the vision and directions of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; the initiator of the MBRPLD initiative who has underscored the critical importance of a highly competent national professional workforce to ensure the country's global sustainability.
