DM sets up Action Team to supervise Counter Staff Performance Enhancement Programme

Dubai Municipality has set up an action team to supervise the performance enhancement programme for its counter staff.

An administrative order was issued by Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality in this regard.

The move is based on a programme called 'Success' launched in the Municipality aimed at selecting, qualifying and developing the aspects of skills and behaviour of the counter staff, who deal directly with the customers of the Municipality.

The Action Team, headed by Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Head of Human Resources Development Section in the Human Resources Department, also include Hashim Al Syed Mohammed Aqeel Al Hashimi, Head of Human Resources Planning and Recruitment Section, Khalid Mohammed Shahdad Ahmed, Principal Recruitment Officer, Maryam Sultan Al Shamsi, Human Resources Officer, Manal Obaid Khalifa Bin Yaarouf, Head of Customer Relations Section in the Customer Relations Department and Nariman AbdulGhaffar Khairalla Baqi, Corporate Development Officer in the Municipality Centres Department.

The team is entrusted with the task of defining and enumerating the counter staff in all the organisational units of the Municipality as well as defining their duties, qualifications and formulating a mechanism to select and appoint new counter staff.

The team will also conduct studies on the status of the counter staff and propose the required training and qualifying programmes to develop their skills and enhance their performance, in addition to proposing the appropriate method of protecting and encouraging them. The team will also evaluate the training and qualification programmes that are already implemented for enhancing the performance of the counter staff.

The members of the team will evaluate and monitor the performance of the counter staff through different methods including mystery shopper. The team will also coordinate and consult with the heads of the organizational units to which the employees are affiliated with.
