"Dubai is on the road to set new standards for the highest Quality of Life as the city of the future."

Eng. Yahya Lootah expressed his appreciation for His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, for his patronage to this award.

He said, "This unique award is keeping in line with Dubai's tradition of rewarding distinguished environmental initiatives. We are extremely happy and proud to be the first in the 'Conservation of environment' category, which is a recognition of our commitment to sustainability, which is a core driver of our business strategy and objectives since inception, inspired by the vision of our leadership."

Eng. Yahya Lootah also thanked the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for the launch of this unique initiative and added, "Climate change and environmental pollution are global issues that need to be addressed not just by the government but by the private sector and the general public as well. Initiatives such as the 'Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport' helps create awareness among the private sector and stimulates them to engage strongly in vital areas that serve sustainable development, encouraging more public-private partnership. Therefore, such initiatives help expedite the process towards fulfilling the vision of our leadership to make Dubai a standing example as a city of the future and a role model to the world for achieving a high quality of life through sustainable development."

The Award ceremony was held in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, HE Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA and several other dignitaries from the government.
