  • PRESS RELEASE

Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority, has announced that it recently organised an Open Day for 110 UAE National jobseekers, in cooperation with Dubai Customs.

During the Open Day, representatives from Dubai Customs conducted interviews and offered jobs to 80 candidates for various roles in the immigration and customs departments at Dubai International Airport and the soon-to-be-open Al Maktoum International Airport in Jebel Ali.

"With full-fledged operations commencing in Terminal 3, and the Al Maktoum International Airport nearing completion, the demand for personnel to take up passport control, immigration and customs duties has increased significantly. This Open Day served as the perfect platform for Dubai Customs to interact with over 100 UAE National jobseekers registered with Tanmia, and offer jobs to the most suitable candidates,"
said Ahmad Al Ahmadi, Manager, Tanmia's Dubai Office.

"Only candidates who have completed their high school education were considered for these job vacancies," he added.

Al Ahmadi also said that, of the total jobs available for UAE Nationals, 40% were in the government sector and the remaining were in the country's private sector enterprises.

Tanmia has been regularly conducting similar Open Days in cooperation with various government departments, and public and private sector companies to maximise employment opportunities for UAE Nationals.
