To be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the inaugural Arab Women Leadership Forum is organised by Dubai Women's Establishment (DWE) in collaboration with the Dubai School of Government (DSG) from 13-14 January. The event will be led by Her Highness Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women's Establishment, and wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister for Presidential Affairs.

AMG has pledged its support to the first regional event initiated by DWE as part of its keenness to highlight the forum's special significance to the community at large and women in particular. Built around the theme 'Women and Leadership: Global Trends and Local Innovations', the forum will see an elite group of renowned leaders from across the Arab world present a blueprint for the role of women in the future.

Abdullatif Al Sayegh, CEO of Arab Media Group, said:
"Hosting this unique gathering of powerful thought leaders and opinion makers demonstrates Dubai's commitment to social progress. We at AMG implement a similar strategy to support events that benefit the community at large. The Arab Women Leadership Forum acknowledges the current social transformation in the Middle East, which will take us closer to our socio-economic and financial development goals. We are proud to be associated with a highly esteemed platform of such regional and global significance."

Lamia Khan, Corporate Communication Director of Dubai Women's Establishment (DWE) welcomed the initiative of the Arab Media Group and said: "The inaugural Arab Women Leadership Forum will lay the initial foundation for future events that will bring together leaders from diverse walks of life to help women strengthen their competencies and skill sets to make a more effective social contribution.

"The forum has generated enormous interest across leading organisations in the private and public sectors. We are delighted by the gesture of Arab Media Group to offer the event suitable news coverage across its newspapers, radio stations, TV and online media to ensure the key messages are brought to everyone in the community for achieving a positive change in public opinion, which is our ultimate goal."

The first Arab Women Leadership Forum is expected to significantly contribute to achieving empowerment of the Arab and Emirati women and building their capabilities while equipping them to better face the challenges, one of the strategic goals of Dubai Women's Establishment.

Founded in 2005, AMG owns a wide array of media properties, including ARN, a radio division that broadcasts across eight frequencies; Awraq Publishing, a publishing division that operates three daily newspapers and several magazines; Done Events, an events company; Shoof Advertising, an outdoor advertising company; Tawseel, an independent distribution company; and Masar, a printing house.
