Bahrain banks get negative ratings

Two of the largest rated commercial banks in Bahrain - National Bank of Bahrain and BBK (formerly Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait) have been rated by Moody's Investor Services from stable to negative in its A2 long-term foreign currency deposit ratings. Both headquartered in Manama, NBB and BBK, at the end of September 2008, had assets totalling BD2.04bn and BD2.18bn respectively.
