RTW to showcase new products at CABSAT
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, January 10 - 2009 at 13:13
- PRESS RELEASE
RTW will showcase new products at CABSAT 2009, with the SurroundControl 31900SD and 31960SD featuring an HD- and SD-capable SDI de-embedder interface, as well as analog and digital audio inputs and outputs.
Last year, RTW joined the Dolby E Partner family, and now all standard and SDI versions of SurroundControl are available with a Dolby E and Dolby AC-3 decoder option, providing direct access to coded data streams for analysis and control without the need for external decoding. Like the standard SurroundControl 31900/31960, the extended versions feature a full-blown eight-channel surround monitoring controller with a downmix matrix, as well as the Surround Sound Analyzer.
The RTW DigitalMonitor 10500X-PLUS now incorporates ITU-compliant loudness display and full-screen mode. The RTW DigitalMonitor 10500X-PLUS, a high-performance, cost-effective display system for monitoring digital stereo audio signals, now comes with an integrated loudness display in compliance with ITU guideline BS.1771. Further enhancements include a new full-screen mode for enlarged display, showing individual instruments being used. All current-production DigitalMonitor 10500X-PLUS systems leave the factory with the new loudness display options included.
Existing RTW Products on Display at CABSAT, the RTW 1119G peak program meters in standard broadcasting cassettes feature high precision, robust design, and long-lived electronics that don't need adjustment. All units use reliable gas plasma displays (neon orange), guaranteeing excellent legibility even under poor lighting, and outstanding precision thanks to the very high resolution (201 segments per channel).
The RTW 10800XPLUS belongs to the SurroundMonitor series (10800X series and 10600/10660-VID) and is specially designed for multi-channel and surround recording applications. Depending on the chosen model both the levels of up to eight channels and 5-channel vectorscope/goniometer data are clearly shown on the displays. The 10-way correlator provides an instantly-comprehensible display of the correlation relationships between all channel pairs. It is an extremely useful aid, and not just for live recordings with surround microphones.
