Al Ghurair said:

Since its establishment in 1998, the DSMG has been keen to combine all its efforts and initiatives to enhancing the competitive edge of the emirate not only on a regional level but globally as well."
"In the coming months, DSMG is set to work within a well-integrated strategy based on synergizing all efforts in order to achieve its goals," he stressed.
"Over the past years, Dubai has made quantum leaps in the retail trade by setting up world-class shopping malls featuring international brands. This has transformed Dubai into a sought-after global shopping destination, where shopping is truly a unique experience," he noted.
The coming period entails maximized efforts to maintain the gains attained in the past and secure further momentum for the retail trade sector, added Al Ghurair. He expressed his appreciation for Eesa Adam and his colossal efforts during his chairmanship of the DSMG, accentuating the group's intention to continue to benefit from the vast experience of previous members like Eesa himself.
The DSMG's board of directors includes Eesa Adam Ibrahim, ex-chairman and General Manager of BurJuman and Reef Mall; Tom Miles, Senior General Manager - Retail at Dubai Festival City; David Thurling, Managing Director, Nakheel Shopping Malls Group; Fared Abdul Rahman, Vice-President - Divisional Asset Management for MAF Properties; Jim Badour, CEO of Emaar Malls Group, Abdullah Ibrahim bin Hussein, Internal Affairs & Marketing Manger at Wafi; and Laila Suhail, Chief Executive Officer of DSF Office.
The 37-memebr DSMG was established in 1998 to support the Dubai Summer Surprises in its inaugural edition. Since then, the DSMG has been working to synergize marketing initiatives and provide better quality services to visiting shoppers in the emirate's malls.
