Upon signing the agreement, the Managing Director of Total Jordan, Mr. Arnaud Guichard said:
"Total Jordan, is going to Amman South and there will be other developments in Amman East and Zarqa in the near future. Our plan is to extend our network all over the Kingdom."
Speaking on behalf of the Abu Jaber Group, Dr. Raouf Sa'd Abu Jaber added, "in our pursuit to positively serve the Jordanian economy in general, and the (petrol) service sector in particular, our alliance with Total Jordan fills us with a notable sense of accomplishment."
Total has been present in Jordan for over ten years through its lubricant brands Total & ELF. Total Jordan was established in August 2007 in the Kingdom and is a 100% subsidiary of Total.
With nearly 16,500 service stations worldwide, Total is No. 1 in Western Europe refining/marketing, and No. 1 in African marketing. Total also has a strong presence in the Mediterranean Basin and is moving into growing markets in Southeast Asia.
