SAE Institute names Andrew Ward as Audio Lecturer in UAE branch

The SAE Institute, one of the world's largest audio and creative media educators, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Andrew Ward as Senior Lecturer of Audio Engineering for its UAE branch.

Ward has worked with artists such as Craig David on the single 'Seven Days' as the Mix Engineer, Faithless on the album 'Sunday 8pm' as the Assistant Engineer, Dido on the album 'No Angel' as the Assistant Engineer, and has filled other roles for Kylie Minogue, Danni Minogue, and Sporty Spice (Melanie C).

Anthony Frantzis, General Manager, SAE Institute, said:
"In his new role, Ward will be a vital member of our Audio department and responsible for the daily teaching of the audio curriculum which will include in-depth theory and practical classes. His core responsibilities will extend to teaching both Diploma and Degree students as well as curriculum development. His inclusion as a faculty member demonstrates SAE's objective to constantly seek globally talented professionals whose academic qualifications are strengthened by their practical experience, especially in working with world class artists."


In addition, the UK-born Ward is highly skilled in microphone techniques, recording and mixing, as well as electronic music production with midi software or hardware sequencers.

Ward said, "The creative media industry in the region is growing and generating tremendous interest from students and professionals. I am delighted to take on the new role with so many new students and share my industry experiences."

Beginning his career with Cyber Sound, London's foremost recording and rehearsal studios, in 1994, Ward boasts a results-oriented career path, marked by consistent professional growth.

In his most recent position at Creative Force in Dubai, his role was senior Engineer/Technician. The position helped him develop a profound understanding of the Middle East market, foster long-term relationships with key players in the industry, and experience the highly competitive environment first hand.

A graduate from Westminster College, Ward has an in-depth knowledge of Neve, SSL, Euphonix, Sony and Yamaha consoles, Otari & Studer tape machines, as well as Pro Tools and Logic Pro.
