ExxonMobil announces Kuwait Science Fair participants

The Kuwait Science Fair is presented by ExxonMobil, Kuwait Energy, Kuwait Motor Sports Club, and the Scientific Center and encompassing over 150 high schools from across Kuwait.

The competition aims to inspire young innovators and scientists in competitive environments and attract them to pursue careers in the fields of science and engineering.

Kuwait Science Fair spokesperson and ExxonMobil Public Affairs & Government Relations Advisor Ms. Aseel Al-Turkait said, "We are very excited to close the application period with over 90 students who took the challenge to become young scientists and innovators. We cannot wait to see their projects during the March 27 competition."

The application period ended after a three-month application drive led by the organizing committee to attract the largest number of participants from both private and public high schools. The drive included class room visits to over 30 schools, seminars, and workshops.

To further support students, the competition has allocated a KD100 project expense allowance for every competing student. Students must supply receipts signed by their supervisor to receive the compensation.

With the application period over, students are required to hand in their written project plans by January 12 to the Kuwait Science Fair organizing committee, and use the period from January 12 and March 17 to develop their projects for the March 27 competition. The organizing committee is available at the Scientific Center every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 5pm - 8pm.
