  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, January 12 - 2009 at 14:02
  • PRESS RELEASE

Adobe and WinSoft, Adobe's globalization partner for the Middle East and Africa regions, announced today the availability of Adobe Creative Suite 4 Middle East/Africa versions, allowing designers and developers who rely on the industry-leading design and development software to work in their native language.

The product is available in Arabic, English (Middle Eastern), French (North African), Greek and Hebrew.

Creative Suite 4 for MEA delivers all the features and benefits of Adobe's CS4 product line with the enhancement of specific MEA language features, including spell checking, bi-directional text flow and typographic controls such as kashidas, ligature and diacritics. Creative Suite 4 MEA versions also feature advanced importing and exporting options.

Andrew Lindstrom, Adobe's Regional Manager Middle East and Africa, said:
"Adobe is committed to fulfilling our customer requirements globally and this release allows users across the Middle East, Africa and around the world who work in these languages to access all the advanced features of CS4 in their preferred language."

"Designers and developers can type their text and spell check in their own languages such as Arabic. In the case of Arabic, they can run text right-to-left using an Arabic or English user interface. This is in addition to Creative Suite 4's enhanced ability to simplify workflows across different media by making it easier to complete common tasks and move content across different applications," Lindstrom added.

The combination of Creative Suite 4 and Adobe's Flash Player 10 software, which now supports Hebrew, Greek and Arabic scripts through its text engine enablement, allows new levels of creativity and expressiveness across media channels. Enhanced creative control is also made possible through visual performance improvements to speed the creative process across print, Web, video and mobile.

Creative Suite 4 Middle East/Africa versions were brought to market by WinSoft, Adobe's strategic globalization partner for the Middle East and Africa regions. WinSoft, a French software company based in Grenoble, specializes in the design, development, localization and publishing of software in emerging markets.
