Ajman University obtains accreditation for B.A. in Mass Communication

Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) has recently obtained accreditation for the B.A. program in Mass Communication at the College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities.
Commenting on the event, Dr. Khalid Alkhaja, Dean of the College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities said, "This accreditation is the fruit of efforts made by the University to supply the labor market, which is witnessing irreversible progress, with highly trained graduates in media and mass communication. Keen to keep abreast of such progress, the University maintains its continued feeding of the labor market with qualified human resources that enrich the Media field with its various means, using the latest technological advancements to improve performance and professionalism."
Dr. Khaja pointed out that the College's state-of-the-art equipment, including radio and television studios, press labs, the internet and library e-shelves with the latest issues on Mass Communication will be a propitious environment for talented students to create, innovate and express their communication and information skills in optimal ways.
He added that the agreements signed between the University and the satellite channels operating in the UAE will constitute a window on labor market for graduates to display their distinguished works and successfully combine theory with practice.
It is worth noting that the admission of new students will start from the second semester 2008-2009. Course registration is scheduled from 1 to 5 February, 2009; while the study begins on 7 February 2009 as per AUST academic year. The applicants to this program will be required to complete four years of study.
