Rawlings, a seasoned industry professional, will be responsible for growing MHz's presence across these territories and drive the expansion of high-definition file-based workflow solutions in the region.

Before joining MHz, Rawlings was the Director of Sales at Presteigne Broadcast Rentals. In this role he was responsible for building the brand and driving the company's revenue from markets outside the UK. Prior to that, Rawlings was General Manager at JVC Professional Europe for six years developing the company's business in the Middle East and Africa. More recently he was the Director of Sales at Quantel where he was responsible for enhancing the organisation's revenue through improved sales channels in the Middle East, India and Eastern Europe.

With over 25 years in the industry and a long history of supporting broadcasters in their transition to tapeless, file-based workflows, Rawlings brings a wealth of understanding and expertise to the role at MHz.

Greg Hoskin, Managing Director of Megahertz, said:
"Tim is an excellent addition to our management team and his knowledge and expertise - in the Middle East particularly - will help us grow our business in this region."

"Tim's understanding of HD file-based workflows together with his insight into the cultural nuances of working in the Middle East and Africa will enable us to assist broadcasters as they make the transition to HD," he added.

Hoskin continues, "MHz already has a presence in the Middle East, and this senior appointment signifies our further commitment to investment and growth in the region."

MHz has been operating in the Middle East for over 20 years and has key installations at Al Jazeera, Qatar Television & Radio, Kuwait Television, Oman Television, Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Oman and ART in Jordan amongst others.

Part of the AZCAR Group, one of the world's largest and longest-established independent broadcast systems integrators, MHz plays a significant role in designing and delivering innovative solutions to the world's leading broadcasters, telecommunication and digital media companies.
