DQG has invited Tony Hughes, Managing Director of Huthwaite International, a globally recognised expert in utilising behavioural change to improve business performance of companies worldwide, as keynote speaker of the seminar to be held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai.

Organised with the theme 'When the going gets tough, the best keep growing,' the seminar will focus on the associated behavioural changes needed in the management and the staff of an organisation to enhance business growth during a time of crisis. Hughes is expected to provide participants with key insights on the current economic downturn and discuss the tools and knowledge required to protect their businesses from being negatively affected.

Dr. Wafi Dawood, Chairman, Dubai Quality Group, said:
"We are entering a very critical period as speculations abound on the future of the economy. The most important thing to do for all business organisations is to be fully aware of the various pitfalls as well as the growth opportunities that are available. Dubai Quality Group believes that Mr. Tony Hughes is highly qualified to provide a detailed overview of the current economic situation and its future consequences. Moreover, with his extensive experience and expertise in the field of behavioural change, Mr. Hughes will be able to provide practical steps and highlight the right attitude needed during an economic downturn."

Hughes' behavioural change concept has been developed through extensive research and is based on a successful model of business excellence proven over time by companies in different industries. Hughes will also bring to the seminar a wealth of practical experience working with firms from various industries to develop business solutions that enable them to reach their business goals.

The keynote speaker has designed, implemented and delivered projects ranging from those that are simultaneously delivered to around 1,000 people across nine countries in three continents over a three-month period, and those that roll out annually.

DQG has invited Hughes as keynote speaker to this seminar as it is one of the most important events hosted by the Group. Over the past year, Hughes has been speaking at a series of conferences for the Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA), including its European event in Paris, its Global conference in Texas and its inaugural Pan Asian event in Singapore. He is also part of the judging panels for the National Sales Awards and The National Business Awards in the United Kingdom.

As the premier driving force in a countrywide initiative that aims to improve the UAE's business environment through enhanced quality standards, DQG has been doubling its efforts to spread quality and excellence awareness in both public and private sectors and provide business organisations with essential tools and information to deal with the ongoing economic challenges.

DQG welcomes businesses, organisations and individuals who are interested in exchanging ideas, information and expertise with the goal of promoting business excellence in the country.
