BIBF wins global award for Islamic Finance

The Center for Islamic Finance at BIBF has received the World's Best Islamic Training Institution Award for 2008 awarded by CPI Financial's acclaimed Islamic Business and Finance, a sister publication of The Banker.
It highlights and recognizes the substantive contribution made by the BIBF and the Center to disseminate Islamic Finance knowledge.
"We appreciate this prestigious recognition, which gives us further motivation to develop new top- notch programs for the Islamic Finance industry," says Mr. Mahmood Al-Sheahabi, Head of the Center for Islamic Finance.
Mr. Garry Muriwai, the director of BIBF, in applauding the efforts of the Center and of BIBF said, "We are very pleased to have received this award, which is an acknowledgement of our sincere and diligent effort to invest intellectual and monetary resources in Islamic Finance Education. We have consistently prioritized Islamic Finance education, owing to our niche expertise in this area and our ability to add real value to the industry through our strong connections and resource."
Mr. Muriwai, added "The success BIBF enjoys is a direct result of the strong support and guidance provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. We truly appreciate their commitment to making BIBF the leading financial center. Special thanks go out to the Central Bank of Bahrain and the Waqf Fund for their tremendous support to BIBF's Center for Islamic Finance."
