Dubai plans major healthcare overhaul

The Dubai Health Authority is planning 'pioneering' improvements in healthcare services in the emirate to focus on primary and preventive care, reportd The National. Under the plan, every person in the emirate will be required to get screened for risk factors for major diseases such as high blood pressure and blood glucose levels. It is also drawing up a detailed map showing what kinds of healthcare services are available in various parts of the emirate so it can help fill in gaps.
