Nurizon Corporations Licence Plate Recognition System, works by installing video cameras inside a vehicle, connected to a ruggedised in vehicle computer. The Mobile Eye Licence Plate Recognition software then processes the video feed being received from the cameras, and automatically checks the visible licence plates against a Kingdomwide "Hot List" Database.
If a vehicle match is found, the police officer is automatically notified by an audible alert, and the vehicle ownership details, and alert information is displayed on the touchscreen.
Mobile Eye is capable of scanning both Arabic and English licence plates, including the new licence plates which are being phased in at the moment across the Kingdom. Another advanced feature of the Mobile Eye software, is that it is also able to operate at night time, and in low light level conditions.
